Financial Aid Resources after a cancer diagnosis

When you or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer, after the initial shock subsides a wave of all kinds of worry and fear can arise. 

One of the major worries is often financial:

  • How we will get through this?
  • How will we pay the bills?
  • How will we afford this?
  • And the list goes on… 
It can quite literally feel as though your money is burning up.

There are many resources that are put into place that can help with costs of cancer treatment, cancer meditations, travel expenses, and more.

After speaking with many families who have been affected by cancer, I learned that most resources for financial help after being diagnosed with cancer are not widely known. Here’s a comprehensive list of all of the different Financial Aid Resources to help those with cancer in the US.  Everything from bill payment help, travel expense aid, medication coverage, free maid services, and more.

The Pink Fund: Provides 90-day non-medical cost-of-living expenses to breast cancer patients in active treatment for breast cancer.
