There’s nothing wrong with indulging in your favorite bread every now and then. But why not every day?

From a Nutritionist’s perspective an every day bread must meet a few requirements:

Gluten-Free

Gluten can be inflammatory to many people who don’t even know they have a gluten sensitivity.

Plant-Based

Dairy can be packed with antibiotics and hormones that can wreak havoc on our bodies. Everything from causing inflammation in the body to changing how our immune system and hormones are functioning.

Sugar-Free

Many people often start their day off with bread. There’s no reason to start your day off with a sugar high and a crash.  Many store-bought breads can contain 8+ grams of sugar PER SLICE! Then you may add some peanut butter and jam, or honey/agave on top of that. Instead let’s give your body whole grains rich in fiber, protein, and carbs that will provide a smooth energy boost without all the sugar.

Yeast-Free

This one is simply because, if we are making home-made bread, waiting for yeast to rise can be one additional step in the sometimes already long baking process. If you have a list of go to recipes that are yeast free, you may be more likely to jump on making bread yourself instead of using store-brand. Which is a HUGE win in my book!

So I’ve gathered up some simple and very nutritious gluten-free, sugar-free. yeast-free, plant-based very yummy breads. Use this list as your go to for Sunday baking. You’ll be so happy you did when you have a healthy bread to reach to all week. Let me know which one is your favorite in the comments! I can’t wait to hear how much you love these.

fermented buckwheat bread

Buckwheat can often be a bit of an acquired taste, but if it’s not something you’ve had before, definitely give this one a shot! Buckwheat is loaded with protein, fiber, and various minerals. There are a lot of complex buckwheat bread recipes out there, I think this one because it’s simple and delicious.

Another great option for a healthy white bread. Making use of gluten-free flour mix while adding in the nutrients of psyllium husks for fiber, and cassava flour for a lighter feel, this is sure to be one of your favorites. You can omit the natural maple syrup if you’re going 100% sugar free. Get the recipe HERE

5.
unbelievable buckwheat bread

“Gluten-Free
Yes, Buckwheat bread is earning another spot in the list. This one adds psyllium husks and chia seeds giving it a more fiber than the previous recipe. With just 7 simple ingredients, you’ll be finding an excuse to make this bread for breakfast lunch and dinner.  Get the recipe HERE.
